Yvonne Pauly schloss das Studium der Latinistik und der Germanistik mit dem Ersten und dem Zweiten Staatsexamen für das Lehramt an Gymnasien ab. 2003 wurde sie mit einer interdisziplinären Studie zur Antikerezeption in der deutschen Literatur des 18. Jahrhunderts promoviert. Sie war als Literaturwissenschaftlerin in der geisteswissenschaftlichen Grundlagenforschung tätig und hat an der Schule, an der Universität und in verschiedenen Einrichtungen der Erwachsenen-, insbesondere der Lehrerbildung unterrichtet. Seit 2007 arbeitet sie in der Wissenschaftskommunikation und hat für Akademie und Schule mehrere partizipative Formate entwickelt, darunter das bundesweit erste Schülerlabor Geisteswissenschaften. Ihr besonderes Interesse gilt dem Verhältnis von Literaturtheorie und Literaturvermittlung, dem Versuch, wissenschaftliche Konzepte von Literatur sinnfällig zu machen und in eine je spezifische ästhetische Praxis zu überführen. Dies umfasst auch die visuelle Kommunikation (Gestaltung von Bildmarken, Flyern, Plakaten) sowie die Entwicklung von Lernmedien (Text- und Arbeitshefte, Hands-on-Objekte, Audios, Videos, Podcasts).
About Yvonne Pauly
Yvonne Pauly completed her studies in Latin and German with the first and second state exam for the teaching profession at grammar schools (Gymnasium). In 2003, she received her PhD title for an interdisciplinary study on the reception of antiquity in 18th century German literature. She has worked as a literary scholar in basic research in the humanities and taught at school, at university, and in various institutions of adult education with a focus on teacher training. Since 2007, she has been working in science communication and has developed several participatory formats for Academy and Schools, including Germany's first Humanities Lab for School Students. She is particularly interested in the relationship between literary theory and the communication of literature, the attempt to make scientific concepts of literature sensually comprehensible, and to transfer them into a specific aesthetic practice. This also includes visual communication (design of image marks, flyers, posters) as well as the development of learning materials (text- and workbooks, hands-on objects, audios, videos, podcasts).
