Information Technology

The task of the »Information Technology« (IT) department of the BBAW is the smooth and orderly provision, maintenance and planning of the IT services at BBAW. This includes the digital operation of the administration, the scientific research projects, the archive and library as well as for the interdisciplinary working groups. The tasks of the IT team involve not only the support of the users but also of the hardware components of the server-, data storage- and network-infrastructure. The IT department operates several server rooms at the different locations of the BBAW.

The changing and heterogeneous requirements of IT require strategic planning, which is carried out by the TELOTA steering group.
